Welcome Elwells!
We had a wonderful evening of food and fellowship at our Welcome Dinner for Pastor Brian, Elizabeth, Eleanor, and Grace. (Sadie, the fur baby did not attend.) Approximately 85 people were in attendance for this amazing feast prepared by our United Methodist Men, along with an assortment of delicious desserts provided by our United Women in Faith. The fellowship hall continued the theme of our country’s celebration for its 250th anniversary as a country. Thank you to Cindy Winslow for your special décor and to all of those who helped to set up and clean up. The Church Leadership Team presented the “housewarming baskets, bags and bins” provided by our wonderful congregation. We had a fantastic evening!
It has been many years since our church has been Blessed to have a pastor with young children. Our pastor will serve our church well with regular office hours, visitations etc. Let’s all value his family time too. His days off will be on Fridays and Saturdays. He is usually at home with his family by 5 pm each evening to observe dedicated time with them. We need to allow this as we would want for ourselves. (Of course, emergencies are exceptions.)
